Upgrading of system of heating of cycle air of GPA-32 “Ladoga”

This article is about actual problem of unsatisfactory work of system of heating of cycle air on GPA-32 Ladoga compressor unit on CS-48: there were emergency stops, caused by insufficient heating of inlet air of axial compressor. Offering solutions in this article are:
1) changing the design of complex air-cleaning device. There is analysis of current design, calculations of parameters of air flow and estimation of processes according to aerodynamics;
2) justification of creation of anti-icing system, based on the principle of infrared heating. To do this the mathematical model GTU GPA-32 was written in Mathcad 15 in the form of the system of linear equations (verification of the results of the calculations and technical specifications was also completed). The influence of heating of air on the operating parameters of the gas turbine in case of increasing heating power assesses on the basis of the mathematic model. According to the analysis of the results, conclusion is made about the optimality of the infrared de-icing system because it requires neither any direct air heating, no consumption of compressed air from the axial compressor of the gas turbine, so it is economically effective.
